- Plan for tuning unisons aurally
- Work health and safety (WHS) requirements, legislative requirements and workplace practices relevant to tuning unisons are verified and complied with
- Customer requirements are received, analysed and confirmed with appropriate personnel
- Communication with others involved with the work is established and maintained to ensure efficient work flow, coordination, personnel cooperation and safety
- Written instructions are followed
- Prepare to tune unisons
- Set a string
- Correct posture for tuning is demonstrated which minimises fatigue and promotes muscular control.
- The fundamental string is tuned aurally to a pitch standard
- Given an external pitch standard, frequency of one string is matched to that pitch to within ± .5 cent
- Tuned string is stabilised using correct hammer techniques
- Tune an adjacent string in unison to the fundamental string
- Clean up work area
